The battery life on the Nexus 5 is pretty average, and some apps like Google maps navigation really kill it. This phone is known for average battery life though. Google voicegoogle now is kind of broken for some things and the voice set reminders are fairly unreliable. On most phones they seem to work okay and might not be incorrect by more than 5 minutes which may relate to the heartbeat issue, but on the Nexus 5 there seems to be a particular issue from months ago that was not fixed, to the point where a reminder I set was around 5. Luckily calendar appointments and alarms seem to be reliable. Google maps navigation not knowing some very common street names. Things I still miss. I do miss a dedicated camera button, but I can live without it. I miss the icon badges on the lock screen that make it really easy to glance and see how many missed callssmsemails you have. I havent found a good solution for this unfortunately, so Im just going to learn to live without it. You can change the lock screen app of the phone, but frankly it doesnt work very well. Someone who just has a play with one OS or another and not a fairly detailed week or so testing and trialing the platform, is simply not qualified to answer your questions or address your concerns. Another thing to keep in mind is that you can always move back. Your email and lots of things will generally be in the cloud, so its actually pretty easy to get setup on a new phone when changing platforms. You could use a Nexus 5.
