Microsoft Windows Xp Corporate Sp3 Untouched Photos' title='Microsoft Windows Xp Corporate Sp3 Untouched Photos' />Thinking of going over to Android Nokia. O. P. After being with Windows phone for the last 4 years, I am about to jump ship and go to Android. Its a sad day, but it you, Windows, not me, or rather the lack of apps thats really gotten to me. The hardwares great good camera, great screen, solid build and the OS is pretty easy to use, but theres just so much that I am missing out on. For example, I cant use paywave or paypass, I cant authorise my payments, let alone remotely unlock my car or flash the lights such a 1st world problem that I have. Microsoft is making good their promise to remove mandatory product key input during the installation or upgrading process of Windows XP operating system, in a new. Sure did. After a week I binned it. Went to an i. Phone for a few months then back to Windows phone. Most of the missing apps for me I can use the web site for the relevant app. A noisy cheer went up from the crowd of hackers clustered around the voting machine tucked into the back corner of a casino conference roomtheyd just managed to. Torrentz will always love you. Farewell. 20032016 Torrentz. Every time I have a play with my sons. Android 5. 1 I am convinced I will not go back to the droids for a while yet. Jp. Dp writes. Anyway, wondering if anyone has gone over to Droid and found it OK, or have they regretted it no end I very recently switched and I think you should be able to have a decent experience. My aim was to switch without having to muck around with romsrooting, with minimal apps and have very solid functionality of the prime functions calls, sms, email, calendar, reminders. Overall I still think the out of box experience from Windows Mobile is better, and you do need a few apps to get Android up to the same level. Ive been using the Nexus 5 2. Marshmallow OS 6. Nexus 5. X once I finish testing this. Im sticking to Nexus phones as they run the base Google OS experience. With Android manufacturer can make pretty significant changes, which can also delay updates that would come to your phone. Some manufacturers have to wait months for updates and can add a lot of junk to the core experience. Microsoft hasis bringing a lot of their apps across, including Cortana and the Wordflow keyboard. Cortana does not yet work in the AU region, and the wordflow keyboard is on i. OS but not android yet. Outlook is decent but does not support tasks or notes. The built in emailgmail app sucks from memory you cant even add filtersshow only unread etc without stupid search commands. Google maps is OKAY for driving directions, but you will want to grab a different app like HERE maps if you want a better experience, and things like speed limits. You may have to pay for some apps to get a good core experience, depending on your expectations. Im using the Nova launcher paid app 5 or so, this gives me more flexibility with the home screens and adds badge numbers to icons missed calls, missed SMS, unread emails etc. Im using NINE for exchange email 1. Things that took some getting used to No dedicated camera button. This has been a minor annoyance, luckily you can double tap the power button to quickly go straight to camera when pulling your phone out of the pocket. Most other habits were easy enough change over a couple of weeks. Problems ive had Syncing issues. Ive had some syncing issues with exchange email, the polling rate seems a bit out of whack at times and Ive had cases where NINE wouldnt sync email even when I manually refreshed. I believe there may be some specific issues with the Nexus 5, I thinkthe core OS is okay, though there are some apps that let you lower the phone polling heartbeat. Battery life. The battery life on the Nexus 5 is pretty average, and some apps like Google maps navigation really kill it. This phone is known for average battery life though. Google voicegoogle now is kind of broken for some things and the voice set reminders are fairly unreliable. On most phones they seem to work okay and might not be incorrect by more than 5 minutes which may relate to the heartbeat issue, but on the Nexus 5 there seems to be a particular issue from months ago that was not fixed, to the point where a reminder I set was around 5. Luckily calendar appointments and alarms seem to be reliable. Google maps navigation not knowing some very common street names. Things I still miss. I do miss a dedicated camera button, but I can live without it. I miss the icon badges on the lock screen that make it really easy to glance and see how many missed callssmsemails you have. I havent found a good solution for this unfortunately, so Im just going to learn to live without it. You can change the lock screen app of the phone, but frankly it doesnt work very well. Things Im looking forward to. Knowing that Ill be able to get all of the apps, no longer wondering ifwhen. Fingerprint scanner on the Nexus 5. X as a quick way to unlock the phone. If Windows Mobile had a good mid range phone like an 8. I would probably have stuck with Windows. In summarytl dr There should be no showstoppers that prevent you from creating a satisfactory Android experience If missing apps is a dealbreaker for Windows Mobile. You will need to take care picking a phone however, as while there are plenty of options, your experience may be quite different for better or worse if you choose a manufacturer that heavily modifies the OS like Samsung hardware performance is probably not as strict as you have come to expect from past Lumias. O. P. I tried Android a few years ago and hated it however, guys that I know who are using Android now are very happy with it. They also say that theres no comparison between 5. I tried. However, feedback in the posts is worrying me. Jp. Dp writes. However, feedback in the posts is worrying me. Be careful what feedback you pay attention to, especially if it comes without reasoning. Someone who just has a play with one OS or another and not a fairly detailed week or so testing and trialing the platform, is simply not qualified to answer your questions or address your concerns. Another thing to keep in mind is that you can always move back. Your email and lots of things will generally be in the cloud, so its actually pretty easy to get setup on a new phone when changing platforms. You could use a Nexus 5. X for a year or two, and still move back to Windows Mobile if they decide to pull their finger out. Jp. Dp writes. They also say that theres no comparison between 5. They are right. Its a day and night difference, if youre buying a new Nexus it will be Android 6. Sheez writes. Wordflow keyboard. OS but not android yet. Intrigued by this, as it looks like Swype to me, which has been an Android staple for over 5 years. Ive only had limited experience with WP on an older Lumia, so most likely not a clear indication of the current state of play. I dont get the point in going one way or the other. Have both and enjoy both for their cons and pros. Then you dont have to miss out either way. Enjoy stuff like paywave payments and actually get regular updates in the Android world unlike windows phones. Having both means you can switch between the two whenever you like, and reap the benefits of each ecosystem. The thing about Windows phones they are so dirt cheap because nobody wants them theres no reason to completely ignore them whatsoever. Just dont get sucked into buying the latest windows flagships at 1. Sheez writes. Wordflow keyboard. I use chrooma on Android, I prefer it to Wordflow, but much of a muchness. OS is the one that needs decent keyboards, hopefully wordflow is as good on that as windows phone, then finally have a decent keyboard that doesnt lag and better at word prediction. Thanks for this post. I was thinking of posting a similar post to get suggestions for a good Android phone I might be happy with. I previously had i. Phone, and honestly I hate it. I have always hated Android more. It is just so messy, and ugh, such an unpleasant experience. Watch Movies Online Free in HD at Watch. Kingsman The Gold. Action,Adventure,Comed. The Dark Tower.
